Victor Trifan
“Victor Trifan is a self-taught artist from Bucharest, specialized in science fiction comics. He made his debut with a caricature in Orion magazine in 1989. He wrote and drew the comic story 'Dar pentru împărat' for Android. He drew 'Samuraiul' for the pocket book series Proteus in 1990 and 'Raoni: Ţara nemuritorilor' for Carusel in 1992. He was also present in BD Strip Top, a supplement of newspaper Renașterea Bănăţeană from Timișoara with 'Capcanele timpului'. He was present in Jurnalul SF from 1993 with cover illustrations and the comic stories 'Ciborg' and 'Ultimul act'.
Trifan is best known for his black-and-white album 'Teritoriu interzis', that was published by România azi in 1994, and reprinted by Anticipaţia in 2004. He started the series 'Cameleonul' with scriptwriter Cristian Lăzărescu for Quadrat in 1996.”
